Basic interest rate kept at 14 percent per annum
A new decision by the State Bank of Vietnam will keep the basic interest rate at 14 percent per annum from August 1.
The central bank’s basic interest rate on Vietnam dong lays as a foundation for commercial banks to set their interest rates for deposits and loans.
Decision No. 1727/QD-NHNN of July 30 says the refinance and rediscount interest rates will also stay the same as they were in July, at 15 percent and 13 percent per annum, respectively.
