Vietnam studies export credit insurance experiences from India
A delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, led by head of the Export-Import Department Pham The Dung, paid a week-long visit to India from July 24 to study export credit insurance.
Indian organisations and businesses said Vietnam is a stable market and most Vietnamese enterprises ensure payment on time to maintain their prestige. During the last five years, only two Vietnamese-related cases were dealt by the Export Credit Insurance Organisation.
In addition to exchanging experiences on export credit insurance, the two sides also discussed trade. Indian businesses said they wish to be provided with more information on Vietnam ’s politics and economy.
Indian businesses, especially those who are doing their business in Vietnam , showed interest in measures the Vietnamese government had taken to curb inflation, stabilise the economy and maintain a healthy investment environment for foreign investors.
The Vietnamese delegation also worked with Indian Trade and Industry Ministry, the Central Bank, the Export Credit Insurance Organisation, and the Vietnam-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
