Steel billet plant to be built in Quang Ngai

The People’s Committee of the central province of Quang Ngai has given the go-ahead to the Hoang Anh Mineral Joint Stock Company to build a 1 trillion VND (58.9 million USD) steel billet plant in Duc Pho district.

Located in the Pho Phong Industrial Zone (IZ), the plant will be capable of churning out 500 tonnes of steel billets per day, said head of the province’s IZ management board Nguyen Xuan Thuy.

The factory, the first project at the Pho Phong IZ, is expected to create jobs for 300 workers.
