Spanish businesses interested in Vietnam
A delegation of 17 Spanish companies has visited Ho Chi Minh City to study business opportunities in Vietnam.
The businesses, mostly involved in the industrial sector, have met with a number of potential Vietnamese partners,
said the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, which organised the visit in coordination with the Caja Madrid Financial Group.
According to the chamber, Vietnam is attractive to the Spanish capital’s businesses because the Southeast Asian country has enjoyed high economic growth rates over the years, drawing huge foreign direct investment, especially after Vietnam joined the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
Spain has so far invested in five projects in Vietnam with a total capital of nearly 7 million USD.
