Dong Nai attracts over US$2 billion in FDI
The southern province of Dong Nai announced it has attracted 50 foreign direct invested projects with a total registered capital of over US$1.9 billion in the first half of this year.
In addition, 50 other available projects have also requested to increase their registered capital by a total amount of US$250 billion.
Thus, in the first six months of 2008, Dong Nai has attracted a total of US$2.15 billion worth of foreign direct investment, up 3.5 times compared to the same period last year.
During the period, the provincial industrial production value also increased by 20.7% year-on-year, with the foreign invested sector reported a 23% growth in industrial production value.
