Nescafe launches new instant coffee product
International coffeemaker NESCAFE Wednesday launched an innovative instant coffee product called “Cafe Viet” after two years and more than US$60,000 invested in research and development.
Labeled NESCAFE Cafe Viet, it marks the first time an instant coffee product has captured the taste of traditional black coffee, a breakthrough in coffee production technology.
“With its exceptionally strong taste, the coffee will be especially suited for the young, bold and dynamic men of Vietnam who dare to try something new,” NESCAFE Brand Manager of Nestle Vietnam Nguyen Huu Long said.
The unique taste of NESCAFE Cafe Viet is the result of over two years of development efforts.
The product is entirely based on local coffee from various plantations in Vietnam.
“This new innovation will add tremendous value to Vietnamese coffee, increasing local consumption, which in turn will bring more benefits to local coffee farmers,” said Pierre Schaufelberger, Managing Director of Nestle Vietnam.
NESCAFE Cafe Viet will be distributed nationwide in the form of 17-gram sachets – priced at VND28,000 ($1.70) for a box of 15 sachets and VND18,000 ($1.10) for a string of 10 sachets.
Headquartered in Switzerland, Nestle has more than 500 factories, manufactures around 10,000 different products and employs 250,000 workers worldwide.
