Gold price rise
In the afternoon of May 7, price of SJC and PNJ gold sold by Saigon Jewelry Holding Company and Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company was VND 17.38 million a tael, up VND 50,000 a tael compared to yesterday and VND 170,000 a tael compared to that of two days ago.
Gold rose in Asia for a fourth day on May 7 as crude oil traded near US $122 a barrel, according to Bloomberg.
Bullion for immediate delivery gained as much as US $5.03, or 0.6%, to US $881.43 an ounce and traded at US $876.85 at 10.03 am in Singapore. Gold for June delivery was up 0.2% at US $879.70 an ounce in after-hours electronic trading on Comex at 10.05 am Singapore time.
