19 enterprises under SCIC to be equitised

A total of 19 one member limited companies under the management of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) will be equitised in the 2008-2010 period under a plan approved by the Prime Minister on April 7.

Ten enterprises will be equitised this year. Equitisation of seven others will be carried out next year and two enterprises is scheduled to be equitised in 2010.

In addition, two other one member limited companies, Dong Thap 1 and Dong Thap 4 Forestry, will be handed over and under the management of the southern province of Long An this year.

SCIC is assigned by the PM to carry out the equitisation work and decide the stake owned by the State at these enterprises in conformity with available regulations.
