Mexican magazine lauds Vietnam’s oil and gas sector

Vietnam’s oil and gas sector has risen to an international level after signing cooperation contracts with more than 10 countries, Mexico’s World Oil magazine said in its March-April issue.

In accordance with the open-door policy, the oil and gas sector has decided to form joint-ventures with foreign companies, and this has brought good fruits to Vietnam, the magazine said.

So far, the sector has produced about 6 billion barrels of crude oil, while creating jobs for nearly 100,000 people, the magazine added.

Vietnam’s story could be a lesson for Mexico, who is striving to reform and open its oil sector, it concluded.
