VN-Index, HaSTC-Index on the decline

Both the Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi bourses continued their downward trend during the January 24 trading session.

By closing, the VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) dipped 12.55 points to end at 764.13 points. More than 13 million shares, worth over 723 billion VND, changed hands during the course of the session.

The day witnessed 97 out of 145 stocks falling with the biggest losers being Tay Ninh Cable Tour (TCT), Imexpharm Pharmaceutical (IMP), Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC) and Domesco Medical (DMC).

Petrolimex (PIT) was the largest gainer of the day by adding 52,000 VND to its listed price.

The Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) closed the session with over 3.5 million shares worth more than 248 billion VND being traded. The HaSTC-Index dropped 1.18 points to finish at 269.88 points.
