Both bourses experience decline
Both Ho Chi Minh City bourse and its Ha Noi-based counterpart experienced losses during the January 21 trading session.
The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) slid 13.17 points to close at 833.88 points. Today’s trading volume strongly declined with just over 7 million shares, worth 655 billion VND, changing hands.
Big losers included the Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT), the Viet Nam Container Shipping (VSC), the Kinh Do Corporation (KDC) and the Song Da Urban and Industrial Zone Investment and Development (SJS).
At the close time of the Ha Noi bourse, the HaSTC-Index dipped by 3.54 points to finish at 284.49 points. Only 2.14 million shares worth 179 billion VND were traded.
“The securities market has yet been able to recover as there isn’t plentiful capital for the market,” said investors.
Securities experts forecast that the VN-Index will fluctuate around 800-830 points and stand around between 850-870 points.
