VN-Index, HaSTC-Index advance
Ho Chi Minh City' s bourse advanced on October 19 after two consecutive declines.
The VN-Index increased by 3.24 points to finish at 1,091.92 points with more than 8.5 million shares, worth 829.8 billion VND, changing hands. 51 stocks added value, 36 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
Saigon Thuong Tin Joint Stock Commercial Bank (STB) rose to its ceiling price of 72,000 VND after suffering three-week falls.
Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC) tacked 14,000 VND onto its listed price, followed by Sea and Air Freight International (SFI) and Vincom Joint Stock Company (VIC) with both adding 8,000 VND onto their prices.
Materials - Petroleum Joint Stock Company (COM) was the biggest loser of the day after having 25,000 VND wiped off its price.
The HaSTC-Index at the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre rose 11.98 points to finish at 376.83 points. More than 5.9 million shares, worth 607 billion VND, were traded.
Of the 60 gainers, Song Da 7 (SD7) led the pack with an increase of 24,700 VND.
