COM: The record date for shareholder list
HoSE announces the record date for shareholder list as follows:
Name of the listed firm: Materials - Petroleum Joint Stock Company (COMECO)
Stock symbol: COM
Stock type: Common stock
Par value: VND10,000
Ex-right date: October 19th 2007
Record date: October 23rd 2007
Reasons and purposes of using the list:
1. Dividend payment in stock for the second time 2006:
Dividend pay-out ratio: 12%
Volume for dividend payment: 394,810 shares
Payment method: a shareholder who owns 100 shares will be paid 12 shares. Distributing shares will be based on sharehoders list on the record date issued by Viet Nam Securities Depository, Hochiminh Branch.
The number of shares is rounded in unit. The remainders which are caused by dividing share number by ten will be bought back at the price of VND24,000/share.
Shareholders whose shares have been deposited: receive dividend at the securities firms where shares have been deposited.
Shareholders whose shares have not been deposited: receive dividend at the office of the company.
The shares paid to existing shareholders are transferable.
Estimated date for dividend payment: December 19th 2007.
2. Issue additional shares to existing shareholders:
Exercise ratio: 10:6 (10 rights can buy 6 shares)
Issuing volume: 2,040,000 shares
The number of shares is rounded in tens. The remaining shares after being rounded and exercising rights will be offered at the price not less than the one to existing shareholders.
The right is transferable once only.
The additional shares issued to existing shareholders is not limited to transfer.
Issuing price: VND32,000/share (discount 59.68% compared to the average price within 6 consecutive trading days from September 20th 2007)
Transference period: from November 1st 2007 to November 19th 2007
Time for registering and depositing money: from November 1st 2007 to November 21st 2007

3. Dividend payment in advance for the first time 2007:
Pay-out ratio: 9% (VND900/share)
Time for payment: from November 5th 2007.

Supplement business fuctions.
Set up subsidiary.

Shareholders whose shares have been deposited: at the securities firms where shares have been deposited.
Shareholders whose shares have not been deposited: at COMECO, 11 Cao Ba Nha, Nguyen Cu Trinh Ward, Dist. 1, HCMC.
Viet Nam Securities Depository – Hochiminh Branch will temporarily suspend the depository activities for COM on October 22nd , 23rd & 24th 2007.
