14 seafood companies in the VNR500 in 2011

At  the  end  of  November  2011,  Vietnam  Report  -    a local enterprise ranking and research firm - announced the list of VNR500 in 2011, the top 500 Vietnam largest companies  –  including  all  state-owned,  private  and foreign  companies  reaching  total  revenue  of  at  least VND1.5  billion.  It  was  the  5th  time  that  VNR500  was released to honour business community in Vietnam.

VNR500 was compiled by Vietnam Report with the consultancy of  local  and  international  expert  group, headed by Dr. John Quelch – former Deputy Director of Harvard Business School.

According  to  the  ranking  firm,  VNR500  was  based on independent and scientific principles in compliance with  international  standards  like  Fortune  500.  The selected enterprises must not pay any fee for ranking.

Besides VNR500, Vietnam Report also published the Top 500 Vietnam private companies selected in criteria such  as  51  percent  of  private  equity  and  more  than VND600 billion of revenue.

This year, there were 14 VASEP’s member companies listed  in  VNR500  –  including  C.P  Vietnam  Livestock Corp;  Cargill  Vietnam;  Minh  Phu  Seafood  Group  JSC; Hung  Vuong  Corporation;  Vinh  Hoan  Corporation; Minh  Qui  Seafood  Co.,  Ltd;  An  Giang  Afiex  Co;  Viet Thang  Feed  JSC;  Quoc  Viet  Co.,  Ltd;  Agifish;  Utxico; Anvifish Co.; Stapimex and Uni-President Vietnam.
