Indonesia to ink deal for 500,000 tons of Vietnam rice
State procurement agency Bulog will sign contracts to buy half a million metric tons of rice from neighboring Vietnam for prompt delivery, chief executive Sutarto Alimoeso said on Friday.
"We have not signed any contracts yet but we have reached an agreement to buy 500,000 tonnes of rice," Sutarto said.
Earlier, traders said that Indonesia has signed a major contract to buy 500,000 metric tons of Vietnamese rice.
