Capital port freight rises

Freight shipments through the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port rose 57 percent in July compared to the same month last year, and 13.65 percent on June’s statistics, according to official figures.

A total of 6,584 TEUs, or 20-foot equivalent units, of freight were shipped in July through the PPAP to and from the Vietnamese deep water port Cai Mep, compared to only 4,191 TEUs in July last year and 5,793 TEUs last month.
