Work begins on 1-mln-tonne iron ore plant
Work has begun on a plant, capable of processing a million tonnes of iron ore per year in the central coastal province of Binh Dinh.
The plant is built at a cost of more than VND686 billion in two phases by the Central Region Minerals Joint Stock Company.
In phase I till 2010, the plant will have a capacity of 400,000 tonnes of product a year and will create jobs for 400 local workers. It is expected to increase its capacity to 1 million tonnes a year from 2011, generating 1,000 jobs.
