12 trillion VND down the drain in Dong Nai

The southern province of Dong Nai has announced the launch of several projects to build and upgrade the drainage and sewerage systems in Bien Hoa city and Nhon Trach new urban area, with investment totaling more than 12 trillion VND.

The project in Bien Hoa city is estimated to cost 6.3 trillion VND, of which 76.4 percent will be supplied by the Japanese government and the remainder from the provincial budget.

The province plans to immediately begin construction of new drainage systems as part of a 5.6 trillion VND project in Nhon Trach new urban area to accelerate the process of transforming the area into an industrial city by 2010.

In addition to these two projects, Dong Nai province is to commence the implementation of several local drainage projects, including those involving the San Mau stream in Bien Hoa and Ong Lan stream in Long Thanh district.
