According to a representative of Bien Hoa Confectionery Joint Stock Company (Bibica), the company is scheduled to supply for the market over 40 kinds of candies, cakes and jam, up 12 percent against 2007, to meet the increasing demand of consumers.

Meanwhile, Kinh Do Food JSC will increase by one-third of its production with 30 kinds of candies, cakes and jam to serve this coming Lunar New Year.

Now enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City are finished stock-piling goods to serve the Tet holiday, using mainly domestic sources. Several imported goods must be tested for melamine to ensure the quality before being put on sale.
